WELCOME HOME TO RETURNING SERVICEMEN A social evening was held on Tuesday in the Ngutunui Hall to welcome home four local soldiers, Dvr. H. Roa, Abie-Seaman G. Morris, Pte. B. Daysh and Pte G. Mcßae. Mr McGruther in making the presentation expressed the pleasure it gave every one to. see the boys' back home again, to which they suitably replied. The mothers and wives of the guests of honour were presented with dainty shoulder sprays, musical honours were then accorded them.

After a very enjoyable supper the evening was brought to a close.
