Additional Class-rooms
The question of additional classrooms at Teasdale Street Primary School was again before the School Committee on Friday evening. The Education Board advised that urgent representations had been made to the Education Department in Wellington. The Committee chairman (Mr L. S. Armstrong) said the architect would be in Te Awamutu this week, and the urgency of the would again be pointed out. Agricultural High School
When a letter was read to Te Awamutu Primary School Committee on Friday nnight seeking the opinion and support of a proposal to establish an agricultural high school in the South Auckland district, it was unanimously agreed that such was a highly desirable move. One of the queries in a questionnaire asked if the Committee would suggest any site in the district likely to be suitable for a school of the nature proposed. It should be a site where a mixed variety of soils was in evidence. Immediately that question was read several members suggested a portion of the Waikeri?. Borstal Institution property as a most suitable site. - It was decided to name that as a possible choice.
