LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
KIHIKIHI BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Kihikihi branch of the League of Mothers was held at Mrs Crook’s residence on May 17, Mrs McCrae occupying the chair. The attendance was not up to the usual standing, nevertheless the afternoon proved to be a pleasant one. The meeting opened with the National Anthem, followed by the Objects and Rules, and the members’ prayer for peace. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. Anderson, A. Anderson, Sutherland, Jacobs, Stewart, Maunder, Willis, and Thomas. Mrs Vincent, late of Hamilton League of Mothers, was cordially welcomed as a new member. An article, entitled “The Home and Nation,” read by Mrs C. Wilson, was much apprecaited. Mrs Mcßae then pronounced the Benediction, and afternoon tea was served. Mrs Crook was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for a very pleasant afternoon.
