The above herd in the 1942 season averaged 308 lb butter-fat, and is without doubt a very choice offering of young, good-quality, straight Jersey Cows, in excellent condition and showing well forward in calf to. a good pedigree Jersey bull. Mr Dick has been milking this herd himself, and has culled heavily each year, replacing with top-quality heifers. Thirty of the cows are carrying their second or third calf.
