HOSPITAL RATING

Sir, —I have read with interest Mr S. C. B. Macky’s letter in Wednesday’s issue of the Courier. I will leave the figures he quotes for experts who are in a better position than I am to confirm or deny. I would ask him on behalf of the electors to give a definite answer to the plain question, is he in favour of de-central-isation or no. Of his reported remarks that costs did not enter into the matter are a contradiction to previous statements made by him in that direction. Failing an answer to the question asked above we can only assume that he is opposed to the principle of de-centralisation. A plain yes or no to the question would be appreciated by not only the writer, but bv scores of others.—l am, etc., PRO BONO PUBLICO.
