TE AWAMUTU CLUB K. Quinlan (38), with a score of 81 —13—68, was winner of the stableford competition at the Te Awamutu links on Saturday. The bogey competition on Sunday was won by W. J. Craik, 1 up, with a score of 78 —9—69. The next best cards were C. Badeley (86 —19—67, all square, and V. A. de Coek (88 —19 —69), 1 down. The events for this Saturday are the qualifying rounds for the Storey Rose Bowl (32 to qualify) and the first round of the Bertram Cup (36 holes, net medal). Partners will be arranged at the club-house.
Although the golf season has only I just commenced, some players have struck form very quickly, and the handicapper has reduced the following players’ handicaps: R. F. Armstrong, 14 to 12; K.
