DR SUTCLIFFE’S MEETING

Sir,; —In regard to Dr H. A. Sutcliffe’s lecture scheduled to take place in the Town Hall annexe (incidentally in reference to the meeting to be held in Otorohanga), I wish to say that I am very sorry indeed that there was a misunderstanding as to where the meeting was to take place. At the time of notifying Otorohanga. similar copies of the advertisement were sent to Te Kuiti and Te Awamutu, but the notice, unfortunately, had not specified Otorohanga. Perhaps, had inquiries been made previous to the day o fthb meeting, any misunderstanding could have been avoided, as I believe there is no annexe next to the Te Awamutu Town Hall. However, to those who waited patiently and were disappointed. I can only say I am very sorry it happened that way, and offer my apologies.—l am, etc., Convener for Meeting. K. LURMAN,
