Support for Pasteurisation

In an address to the Hamilton Rotary Club, Mr W. Udy, who has wide experience in the dairy industry, •stressed the importance of pasteurisation in rendering milk safe for human consumption. “Pasteurisation for city milk supply is very desirable,” said Mr Udy, “in fact it is necessary in all cases where the sources of supply are in doubt. The need always exists when the milk is not direct from the producer. Milk loses no food value by pasteurisation, as has been proved by wide experiment, with thousands of school children.”
