Prisoner of War Labour The question of employing prisoner of war labour to the best advantage was at present being examined by the Government, was the reply received from the Prime Minister by the North Island Motor Union to its suggestion that such prosiners should be utilised for repairs to highways and other similar constructive work, said the secretary. Mr W. O’Callaghan, at the union meeting last week. The point was stressed by delegates that such labour. in this case Italian, was belay largely used in Australia for agricultural purposes with considerable benefit to the manpower position.
