FOR WAR MATERIALS UNITED EFFORT EXPECTED The Citizens’ Association, under the direction of the Waste Products Committee, are organising on Friday, July 12th, for those valuable waste products so vitally necessary to the making of offensive and defensive weapons of war. The ever-expanding demands for the Welding Club and Patriotic Societies make this urgent drive imperative. With the co-operation of the Home Guard,. E.P.5.,. Scouts and Schools, it is felt that a ready response will be forthcoming from the farmers and public. For the collecting the generosity of j the drivers and carriers is being relied | upon and an urgent appeal is issued ; for trucks and drivers with sufficient j benzine to be able to drive s—lo—or ■ more miles. Those willing to assist : are asked to contact Mr Glassey, Kihi- 1 kihi. Farmers are requested to contact , the local E.P.S. controller, and for i townsfolk, pamphlets giving particu- ! lars will be issued.
