TE AWAMUTU EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS SERVICE TRY-OUT TO-MORROW (TUESDAY) AN ALARM will be sounded shortly after 5 p.m. TO-MORROW (Tuesday) by a series of short blasts on whistle, air horn and siren. An assumed air raid will be considered to be in progress for about an hour, during which time a state of emergency will exist. The all clear (a continuous blast for two minutes) will end the conditions of emergency. The public are required not to frequent the streets, and to remain at home or proceed to the dispersal areas. The telephone is to be used only for urgent or important business. Private cars will be required to stop instantly and park beside the kerb during the state of emergencv as directed by the Wardens. Drivers to go to nearest dispersal area. E-P.S. Wardens must wear armlets and carry warrants. 720 Chief Warden.
