LIVE STOCK MARKET SALE AT OTOROHANGA The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report holding their fortnightly sale and annual store lamb fair at Otorohanga on Wednesday last. There was a full yarding of store lambs, which met with keen competition from a full bench of buyers. A medium yarding of cattle and pigs sold firm at late rates. Quotations:— Cows: Fat Jersey cows, £5 to £6 10s; medium fat Jersey cows, £4 5s to £5; boner cows, £3 to £4 ss. Store Lambs: Ewe lambs, up to 17s; well-grown wether lambs, up to 15s 6d; medium wether lambs, 12s to 14s; poorer sort, 7s 6d to 10s. Pigs: Medium baconers, £3 10s to £3 13s; light baconers, £3 5s to £3 10s; heavy baconers and buttermilk pigs, £2 10s to £3; light porkers, 30s to £2 ss; stores, £1 to 27s 6d; weaners and slips, 10s -to 17s. SALE AT MORRINSVILLE Messrs Dalgety and Company report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Morrinsville on Friday as follows: Sheep: A medium yarding of sheep came forward and prices were well up to recent rates. - The advertised line of store wether lambs ex Coromandel were all sold under the hammer, the top price making 14s 4d. We quote: Prime fat wethers, to 23s 6d; good quality store wether lambs, 13s 7d to 14s 4d; medium ditto, Ils 3d to 13s; others, 7s to 10s lOd; shorn ewe lambs, to 17s. Cattle: A good yarding of cattle which sold well up to late rates. We quote: Fat Jersey cows, £5 to £6 ss; S.H. cows, £5 10s to £7; boners, heavy £4 10s to £5, lighter £3 10s to £4 10s, light £2 10s to £3 10s; P.A. empty heifers, £4 10s to £5 Is; bulls, 10s to £1 ss.
