WEDDING BELLS
TOOTILL—LILLEY. The wedding took place on Saturday last at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Te Awamutu, of Edna Christina Lilley, to Wilfred Roger Tootill. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Flynn. The bride, who was escorted by Mr James W. Tootill, of Wellington, wore a trained gown of white satin. Her veil of tulle fell from a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of paper whites and chrysanthemums. The bride was attended by Miss Shiela Tole and Miss Mary Tootill, who wore frocks of blue tulle over blue taffeta. In attendance as best man was Mr Fred Turney, of Ohaupo and Mr John Tootill, brother of the bridegroom was groomsman. The reception was held at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, at Puniu Road. For travelling the bride wore a navy costume with navy accessories The young couple will reside in Te Awamutu. Among those present were: Mr G. Tootill (Onehunga), Mr and Mrs W R. Tootill (One Tree Hill), Mrs Tole (Te Papapa), Mr and Mrs Snow (Rotorua), Mrs Jack Mcßae and Mrs J. Slavin.
