Dalgety and Company report on their rabbitskin sale, held at Dunedin on March 11, as follows: A larger catalogue than usual was offered at this time of the year—approximately 35 tons. Our contribution was a heavy one, skins being included from trappers in both Islands. Our offering also comprised some weighty parcels of well prepared factory sorts.

All the principal exporting houses were represented, keen competition being forthcoming for all descriptions.

It was expected that an exceptionally good demand would be met with as exporters are holding good orders on U.S.A, account. This was fully realised, values showing a marked appreciation on the rates ruling in February. The rise on our catalogue was from 8d to 181 d per lb.
