ROYAL AIR FORCE

RELEASES FROM ARMY. Instructions regarding the release of men from the Expeditionary and Territorial Forces for service in the Air Force have been issued to area officers by the Army Department. These state that no action in the way of medical examination or despatch to camp is to be made where a man has volunteered for service with the Air Force until advice has been received that he has been rejected for air service. Where a man who had volunteered for the Air Force was already in training for the Expeditionary Force application for transfer would be granted only where he was wanted for the aii- crew section. A territorial who volunteers for the Air Force will not be released from camp until he has completed his training.
