HAMILTON STOCK SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton on Tuesday, as under:— Cattle: There was a small yarding of bullocks, prices being at a par with previous sales. Extra heavy prime steers £ll 10s to £l3 2s 6d, heavy prime steers £lO 10s to £ll 7s 6d, lighter £9 to £9 12s 6d, light £8 7s 6d to £8 17s, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £7 15s to £9; heavy prime cows and heifers £6 7s 6d to £7 10s; lighter prime cows and heifers £5 15s to £6 2s 6d, heavy boners £3 12s 6d to £4 2s 6d, medium £2 12s 6d to £3 ss, lighter 27s 6d to 37s 6d, heavy vealers £2 10s to £3 7s 6d, medium 32s 6d to £2 ss, light 17s 6d to 27s 6d, bobby calves 8s to 12s 6d. Sheep: A full yarding of grown, sheep and a medium yarding of lambs. Prices were slightly easier than those ruling last week. Choppers £2 to £4 10s; heavy baeoners £4 to £4 6s, medium £3 10? to £4, light £3 to £3 10s, heavy porkers £2 5s to £2 10s, light porkers £2 to £2 ss, small 35s to £2, buttermilk pigs £2 10s to £3, stores 30s to £2, slips 20s to 30s, weaners 15s to 20s, breeding sows £2 to £4 10s. Newton King Ltd. report at their Frankton sale, held on Tuesday, another heavy yarding of fat pigs was penned. Competition was keen and values were well up to late prices. A medium yarding of stores and weaners were not so keenly sought and prices were easier than last sale. Heavy prime baeoners £4 to £4 6s, medium baeoners £3 12s to £3 18s, lighter baeoners £3 5s to £3 10s, heavy porkers £2 15s to £3 2s, medium porkers £2 8s to £2 12s, light porkers £2 2s to £2 ss, large stores 35s to £2 Is, slips 24s to 32s 6d, weaners 10s 6d to 15s. In the fat cattle section a fair yarding came forward and prices again showed an easing tendency on previous sales. Medium fat Holstein cows £s’ Is to £6 3s, heavy fat Jersey cows £5 6s to £5 16s, lighter £4 lie to £5. A medium yarding of boners was penned and competition maintained late rates. Heavy boner cows S 3 JOs to £3 19s, medium £2 15s to £3 7s, light 33s to £2 ss, medium weight boner bulls £7 12s to £8 ss. In the fat sheep section a medium yarding was penned, prices realised showing an easing on last week’s values. Heavy fat wethers 22s to 23s 6d, medium 20s 6d to 21s 9d, lighter 18s 39d to 19s 6d, heavy fat ewes 15s to 15s 9d, light fat ewes up to 14s. CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co. Ltd., report at their tri-weekly stock sale at Cambridge on Monday a full yarding of cattle, including a medium penning of cow* and ox beef, which sold freely at rates on a par with other sales. Boner cows and potter bulls came forward in average numbers, values showing no appreciable variation on late rates. Pigs: A full yarding of fat pigs, for which bidding was brisk, at unchanged values. Store pigs were penned in medium numbers and met steady competition at prices fully equal to recent values.
