PRICES AT TAUPIRI. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s Taupiri sale held on Monday: —< Pigs were yarded in large numbers for the first Taupiri sale of the year, and a satisfactory clearance resulted at prices well up to recent market values. Baconers were in keen demand, and sold Very well; but store pigs were hard to quit. We quote: Heavy prime baconers £3 18s to £4 4s, medium £3 3s to £3 9s, heavy porkers £2 10s to £2 19s, medium £2 to £2 6s, best store pigs £1 10s to £1 15s 6d, second quality £1 o £1 4s 6d.
