TE AWAMUTU CLUB. GAMES AT VICTORIA PARK. The most important game at the Victoria Park greens last Saturday afternoon was the final of the club contest for who should represent the club in the Howden Shield series, southern section of the Waikato Centre. The teams were: T. Finch, C. Davis, W. J. North and W. Douglas v. R. Guy, F. Hinton, R. Free and f. W. Gee. Some very attractive play was witnessed, despite the holding state of the green, and Douglas’ team eventually won by 23 to 20. Douglas now meets th<; representatives of Te Kuiti, Otorohanga and Leamington, and the winner plays the winner of the eastern section. Contests in other sections are being held, and the section winners will meet in the final full-rink championship at Hamilton.
