OHAUPO STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual Ohaupo sale on Friday, when a medium yarding of cattle came forward and late rates were maintained. Light fat steers £lO to £lO 7s, light fat cows £5 15s to £6 ss, heavy boners £3 to £4, store cows £1 10s to £2 10s, weaners Jersey heifers £3 to £3 12s, small springing heifers £5 10s to £6. MORRINSVILLE SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Morrinsville stock sale held on Friday:—A medium yarding of cattle came forward which included an average yarding of fat cattle and a small yarding of dairy cattle. The fat cattle entry comprised mostly of fat Jersey cows. Competition throughout was very keen and prices showed an advance on recent rates. The dairy cattle were sold before an average bench of buyers. Good quality heifers close to profit sold well but backward and inferior were dull of sale. Good dairy cows sold well but backward sorts were not wanted. A medium yarding of yearling Jersey heifers came forward which comprised mostly of small sorts. However, a good sale for them eventuated. Heavy fat Jersey cows sold from £7 to £7 15s, medium fat cows £6 to £6 15s, heavy boner cows £4 15s to £5 12s 6d, medium bonei cows £3 10s to £4 7s 6d, boners from £2 10s to £3 ss, medium quality yearling Jersey heifers £3 to £3 7s 6d, smaller sorts £2 10s to £2 15s. Dairy Cattle: Medium Jersey heifers £7 to £9 ss, backward heifers £5 to £6 15s, medium dairy cows £6 10s to £B. Fat hoggets 24s to 25s 9d. Medium porkers £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, light choppers £2 10s to £3, small store pigs 12s 6d to 16s.

Ltd. report having held their usual weekly sale at Morrinsville on Friday, as follows: There was a small yarding of all classes of cattle, prices for both fat and boner cattle were well up to recent rates. A few pens of yearling Jersey heifers offered did not quite make prices ruling during last fortnight. Only good quality dairy cows and heifers were in demand. Fat cows £8 10s to £lO Is, heavy boners £3 to £3 18s, medium ditto £2 2s 6d to £2 15s, lighter 20s to 32s 6d, light conditioned yearling Jersey heifers £3 7s, others to £4, quality springing heifers £8 to £9 10s, quality springing Jersey cows £lO 10s to £l3.

TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their Te Awamutu sale on Thursday as follows: —A small yarding of sheep and a full entry of all classes of cattle came forward. Competition for fat cattle was again keen, prices for prime finished lots being up to recent high values. A pen of prime heavy bullocks on account of M rs M. Moorhead sold at £l6 10s; 3 pens of fat medium weight P.A. bullocks from Tokanui Mental Hospital made from £ll 8s to £l2 15s, similar cattle from Messrs A. L. Storey, P. C. Hoban and L. R. Kay made £ll Ils, £l2 and £l2 6s respectively. A pen of extra prime quality P.A. young cows and heifers ex Mr W. McGhie realised £l3 18s, while lighter fat heifers from Mr J. Fleming sold at £lO 10s. Sheep: The yarding consisted mainly of fat hoggets prices for which ranged from 16s Id to 26s 9d, the latter price being obtained for a pen of good sheep from Mr G. Pollard. Cattle: Prime heavy bullocks to £l6 10s, lighter ditto £ll 10s to £l2 15s, heavy prime P.A. heifers to £l3 18s, lighter ditto £lO 10s, prime fat cows £8 10s to £lO 7s 6d, heavy fat Jersey cows £8 to £9 15s, lighter sorts £6 15s to £7 17s, heavy boners £3 3s to £4, medium £2 to £3 Is, light ditto £1 to £1 18s.

Dairies: A full yarding of dairy cows and heifers came forward and competition for choice quality cattle showing well forward commanded good competition. More backward sorts were not readily sought after. Choice forward heifers £9 10s to £ll 10s, medium quality heifers £7 to £9, more backward sorts £5 to £7, low conditioned small heifers £4 to £5 10s, good quality forward cows £9 to £lO 10s, medium ditto £7 to £9, backward sorts £5 to £6 10s.

Pigs: There was a medium yarding of fat pigs with a full yarding of stores. Fat pigs met with very keen demand. Stores and weaners met with fair demand and prices remained

firm throughout the sale. Heavy baconers £3 12s to £3 18s, medium ditto £3 6s to £3 12s, light £3 to £3 6s, buttermilk pigs £2 10s to £3, light ditto £2 to £2 10s, large store pigs 30s to £2, medium 25s to 30s, small 20s to 255, best weaners 20s to 22s 6d, medium ditto 14s to 20s, small ditto 10s to 15s, sows to farrow £3 to £4 10s, service boars £3 10s.
