GREAT CHANGE IN FRANCE. “The change that has come over France since last autumn has scarcely been realized here," says the “Daily Mail’’ (London). She iS no longer a divided nation. There is a new spirit abroad—evoked by the call of country which has never failed her and never will. The 40 hour week has disappeared almost without a murmur. Production has increased, unemployment has declined, tax yields are rising and gold is flowing back to Paris. Last month additional powers to increase war product’on were taken by the Government. In every department of defence, the Republic is forging ahead. M. Daladier is serving his country and the democratic cause as well.’’
