MAGISTRATE’S COURT
TE AWAMUTU.—/THURSDAY. (Before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M.) The following undefended civil cases were disposed of by Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., at Te Awamutu sitting of the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when judgment for plaintiff- with costs, was entered:— Advance Cars Ltd. v. M. Walker, claim £2 6s, costs £1 5s Gd. J. Wilson v. S. M. Kidd, claim £B, costs £1 10s 6d. Waikato Hospital Board v. Richard James, claim £7 16s, costs £1 12s 6d. Same v. George W. Morriss, claim £29 Is, costs £4 3s 6d. Same v. Harvey Richards, claim £8 Bs, costs £1 12s 6d. Craik Motors Ltd. v- E. Friedlander, claim £3 15s 4d, costs £1 3s 6d. Waikato Hospital Board v. John Taukeri, claim £3 12s. costs £1 10s 6d. Williams Bros. v. J. Gage, claim £5 16s Bd, costs £1 15s 6d. H. T. Wjelsh v. E. S. F. Stapleton, claim £9 Is 9d, costs £1 10s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Rotorua Providers Ltd. v. J- H. Coe, claim £l7 Ils 10d.—Defendant said he had a wife and two dependent children; he was employed on the land settlement scheme at Ellicott’s Block at £3 16s per week, with free house. He owned a motor car, costing £lOO, purchased about three months ago. He traded in his former car, and was paying £5 per month. He owed some other debts, and was paying one firm £7 per months—Further hearing was about to be adjourned until the October sitting when Coe offered to pay off the debt at the rate of 15s per month, and the offer was accepted. Wallace Supplies Ltd. v. J. Miles, claim £3 8s Id.—Defendant said he was a war pensioner, with six children dependent upon him. He had no other resources apart from his pension.—No order was made, defendant showing that he was 6d per month.
