ENJOYABLE DANCE. A most enjoyable dance was held in the Pirongia Hall on Wednesday evening last for the local Hockey Club. Excellent music was supplied by Hugh White and his orchestra, and extras were contributed by Mr B. Bell (Te Kuiti) and Mr Fred Beet. A very tasty supper was served. Jones, black floral satin; B. Searancke, black and silver satin. PERSONAL. Friends will be pleased to hear that Mr H. Burgess, of Pirongia, is now well on the road to recovery from an attack of influenza.

Mr Ken Sifleet, of Pirongia, has returned from Whangarei, where he attended the Territorial camp as a member of a Waikato unit. Mr Jack Scott, of Kumeu, was the guest of Mrs J. L. Macky, of Pirongia, last week.
