PLUNKET BALL

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION AT OHAUPO. LARGE ATTENDANCE. The fourteenth annual ball of the Ohaupo Plunket Society was held recently in the Memorial Hall, Ohaupo. The ball, which is one of the most popular dances of the year, was also the most successful held for some years. The hall and supper room were most tastefully decorated with autumn flowers and greenery. Among those present were the president, Mrs B. Ryburn, who was wearing an attracttive frock of black georgette; the secretary, Mrs Bruce Elliot, midnight blue chiffon velvet, with white fur coatee. Members of the committee who were present: Mesdames F. Haldane, smart frock of black and white chiffon velvet; G. Tarr, petrol blue cloque; L. Turnwald, black georgette and lace; T. Dynes, green satin, red velvet coatee; V. Karl, pompalier satin, black velvet coat; G. Bainbridge, wine satin beaute; C. Bennett, black crepe de chine; A. Cowley, black georgette and lace; C.
