RIFLE SHOOTING
THE OTOROHANGA CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDED. (Our Resident Representative.) The Otorohanga Defence Rifle Club’s service championship shooting contests on the local range, was completed on Saturday afternoon last, J. H. O’Connor winning the championship by sixteen points. O’Connor shot most consistently and registered 44, out of a possible 50 at 600 yards. The leading marksmen were : O’Connor 386; L. Palmer 370; K. Murphy 341; T. Sommerville 336 and E. Southall 325. The Club have arranged to hold service shoots throughout the winter.
