TE AWAMUTU CLUB. LAST SATURDAY’S GAMES. There was a good attendance of members at Victoria Park greens on Saturday afternoon, when club draw games were played, and the champion pairs competition for 1938 was completed. Results:— CHAMPION PAIRS. A. V. Cole and E. Hollard met SClark and T. Gee in a semi-final, and victory was gained by the first-named pair, after a keen tussle up to about the sixteenth head, when Hollard gra - dually gained a margin. A three on the twentieth settled matters, for the scores were then 25—14. In the final Cole and Hollard met S. Haines and T. Mclnnes, and again the first-named gradually gained a nice lead, which was held in the final stages, to register a win bv 23 points to 12.
