WOMEN’S DIVISION

KORAKONUI BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual meeting of the Korakonui branch of the Women’s Division was held in the Korakonui Hall on Friday last. There was a good attendance of members, several new members joining up. The president, Mrs Froggatt, gave a very interesting report on the year’s activities of the branch, and thanked the members and committee for their loyal support during the last year. The librarian’s report and the secretary’s report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs N. M. Lethbridge; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. J. Froggatt and J. R. Kay; secretary, Mrs W. S. Hopping; committee, Mesdames Tuck, C. W. T. Whitfield, A. Lancaster, W. Orr and Hudson; delegates to provincial, Mesdames Froggatt and Jamieson; librarian, Miss Sylvia Moyle; advisory committee, Mesdames C. McDonald and Froggatt. Mrs Lethbridge, on taking the chair, paid a very warm tribute to the good work done by Mrs Froggatt during her term of office. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was then served, the hostesses being Mesdames J. Jamieson, Hudson, S. Jamieson and Jackson.
