We understand that two budding All Blacks figured in a collision that necessitated the attention of a surgeon to repair the damage. The youngsters, each aged about eight years, are Paterangi schoolboys named respectively Macky and Paxton, and were participating in a practice game, of Rugby football. Apparently they were scrummagers, and sought to emulate the deeds of the All Blacks last Saturday. What happened is not definitely known, but it seems that neither would give way, the result being a head-on collision and then a collapse of both parties—with such severe injuries that several stitches had to be inserted in each head, the scalp having been split cleanly by the impact. At latest advice both lads are making progress towards complete recovery.
