PING-PONG SOCIAL AND DANCE. (Own Correspondent.) Te Rore Ping-Pong Club recently held a most successful social and children’s fancy dress dance. In addition, games and competitions were enjoyed by the children. Items were given by Miss Eva Godfrey and Messrs K. Allcock and Tibor Nadas. After a tasty supper had been dispensed dancing was continued until midnight, Mrs Rothwell supplying excellent dance music. The pudges for the fancy dresses were Miss Strong and Mr Rothwell. " Those in fancy costume included the following:— Girls: Prettiest costume: Olwyn Bell, Flower Girl. Most original: Daphne Hack, Hula Girl.. Special: Marjorie Finn, Spring. Boys: Best costume: Reid McKinnon, Popeye. Mosft original: Henry Bell, Chef. Special: Rolf Finn, Maori Wiahine. Adults: Prettiest costume: Misses F. Coxhead and E. Forkert, Coronation Twins. * Amongst the other dancers in costume were: Adults: Miss T. Butterworth, Japanese Lady; Miss W. Duncan, Odol Tooth Paste; Miss L. Duncan, Butterfly; Miss M. Anderson, Te Awamutu Courier; Mr A. Langley, Chief Little Wolf; Mr A. Duncan, Drum-Major. Children: Marjorie Finn, Spring; Peggy McKinnon, Nurse; Beryl Rice, Gypsy; Joyce Coxhead, Japanese Girl; Eileen Hack, Night; Barbara Baker, Little Red Riding Hood; Daphne Hack, Hula Girl; Nita Godfrey, Italy; Una Bell, Irish Colleen; Estella Godfrey, Spanish Girl; Olwyn Bell, Flower Girl; Eva Godfrey, Trumpet Soldier; Barbara Godfrey, Trumpet Girl; Dawn Bell, Fairy; Eric Coxhead, Pirate; Bill Bell, jack of Hearts; Reid McKinnon, Popeye; lan Anderson, Sailor; Henry Bell, Chef; Jack McKinnon, Yodelling Cowboy.

The Social Club members are now making great preparations for the anniversary dance which is to be held near the end of this month.
