CROQUET
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. A most successful concert was held in the Te Rore Hall on Friday of last week. There was a large attendance of district residents who. thoroughly enjoyed the items. A feature of the concert was two small plays produced by local talent, and these reflected the greatest credit on all concerned. The following contributed items:— Quartette, Mesdames C. Woolston and Livingstone; Messrs James and Guest; Recitation, Mr Tibor Nadas; Solo, Mrs Dallas; Trio (comic), Messrs Godfrey, Guest and James; Duet, Messes R. and G. Bell; Solo, Mr Guest; Recitation, Mr Croker; Duet, Mrs Livingstone and Mr James: Comic Sketch, local players: Solo, Miss R. Bell; Solo, Mr Guest; Recitation, Mr K. Allcock; Duet in Costume, Mrs Woolston and Mr James; Spanish Dance, Mrs Woolston; Recitation, Mr Tibor Nadas; Solo, Mrs Dallas; Play “An Interrupted Proposal” local players. After a dainty supper served by the members of the croquet club dan> ing continued till an early hour. Mrs Rcthwcli .supplied excellent dance music. Mr J. Butterworth was an efficient M.C.
