BURGLARY AT NIGHT

BUSINESS PREMISES ENTERED. Tho billiard room and tobacconist premises of Mr Tom Atkins, in Alexandra Street, were broken into early yesterday morning. Entrance was gained by forcing the back door of the billiard room and thence into the tobacconist’s shop by displacing a panel in the door and then shifting back the bolt. The proprietor said a sum of approximately £4 was removed from the till, but the contents of the shop were not otherwise interfered with. The police were notified of the Incident and are now pursuing inquiries into the matter.
