The substantial increase in the population of the North Island and the legislation of last session establishing invalidity- pensions and extending the provisions of the law relative to oldage and other civil pensions, have increased the work of the branch offices 6i the Pensions Department. The Minister of Pensions, Hon. W. E. Parry, has announced that the extent of the increase of the work of the departmest had made it necessary to rearrange the district boundaries and to establish two new branch offices. The new offices would be at W.hangarei and New Plymouth. The rearrangement of districts, with the number cf civil pensions current in them, includes Hamilton,, comprising Waina, Waikato, Waitomo, Raglan, Otorohanga, Kawhia. Ohura, Taumarrunui, Kaitieke, Ohinemuri, Piako Hauraki Plains, Matamata, Rotorua, Taupo, Opctiki, Whakatane and Tauranga counties, with total of 5629 pensions.
