NO THEORIES
RETURN TO REALISM. “Nothing has ever been created except by love,” says Dr Maude Roy. den. “The realist (so he boasts) looks at facts and refuses to bemuse himself with theories. Let him look at the facts. Nothing has ever been created but by love; hate destroys. I may be mistaken in believing that this is true, but if I am, it is not for want of looking at the facts. It is the nature of hate to destroy as of love to ci eate. The scientist adds to knowledge, the artist to beauty, the lover to life, because lie loves them. We should have known from our own ex-perience—-from the facts as we have them—that in the beginning 16ve created the heavens and the earth. There are many impossible things that men have tried to believe, and even succeeded in believing; they have never succeeded in believing anything so impossible as that creation could come from anything else but love. To believe that, one must refuse to look at the facts, one must create a world of one's own, a world of fantasy, and ignore reality altogether. In such a world of fantasy, one lives a lie. The result is futility. Let us return to realism. Love creates: God is Love.”
