AS REPORTED IN THE WAIPA POST ON DECEMBER sth, 1911. Otorohanga railway station has now been raised in grading and a stationmaster is appointed to this station. Mr W. J. Melville;, has resigned from the Rangiaowhia Road Board as he has sold his farm and proposes to leave the district. A Te Awamutu eleven beat Mangapiko at cricket on Wednesday, the totals being 150 to 85 runs. The Kio Kio Farmers’ Union plans a short road deviation at the railway approach so as to avoid the necessity of opening and shutting the gates. Kihikihi Town Board acknowledges a donation of £9 from the Coronation Committee toward the hall lighting funds. The old Kerosene lamps will now ba sold. Thei General Election will be conducted to-morrow. The candidates for Waikato are J. A. Young and H. A. Greenslade.
