NGARUAWAHIA STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows on their stock sale held at Ngaruawahia on Friday:—A full entry was handled; there was an absence of heavy beef cows, but medium conditioned Jerseys, fresh conditioned cows, stores, .and boners were in full supply. For all classes there was a consistent demand up to prices on a par with recent quotations, and practically everything sold. The market for dairies was brisk, especially for cows and heifers close to profit; in this section prices were quite, as good as those recently quoted from other dales. Light fat Jersey, cows £4 15s to £5 10s, forward conditioned Jo light beef quality cows £3 5s to £4 10s, fr.sh conditioned young Jersey cows £2 12s 6d to £3 2s, heavy boners £2 2s 6d to £2 10s, young ditto up to £2, good quality springing Jersey heifers £7 15s to £8 10s, medium sorts dairy heifers £5 15s to £7 10s, others up to £5 10s, springing dairy cows £5 10s to £6 10s, inferior up to £5 ,ss. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their stock sale held at Morrinsville on Friday:—Our yarding of cattle was heavier than usual, but apart from a scattering of good to heavy beef cows, the bulk of the entry was store and light quality Jersey beef cows. Butchers’ cattle created fairly strong competition and rates remained stable at former quotations. If anything, slight improvement was recorded in store and boner cow Values. A small entry of store and weaner pigs and the advertised fifty sows came forward; the demand for stores remained firm, while considering the quality, the sow pigs met a good sale, and prices improved as the sale progressed.
