REGENT THEATRE. FINAL SCRENING TO-NIGHT. “PUBLIC NUISANCE NO. 1” Those who saw the special British Empire Films’ production, “Public nisance Number 1,” at the Regent Theatre on Saturday seemed to thoroughly enjoy the fare provided, and the management confidently recommends others to see it to-night, for it is bright and merry throughout. Those past masters of the Fun Brigade, Arthur Riseoe ’and Francis Day, are the head-liners, and they contribute nearly two hours of genuine merriment—in fact, the picture is wel named “the comedy of the century.’’ iWth “Public Nuisance No. 1” is a fine set of supporting items. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. “THE MURDER OF DR HARRIGAN.” Mirny new faces appear in the First National production. “The Murder of Dr Harrigan,” which comes to the Regent Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday. The picture is a hair raising murder mystery drama, based on the story of Mignon G. Eberhart. Others in the cast include Mary Astor, John Eldredge, Joseph Crehan, Frank Reicher and Phillip Reed. AT THE EMPIRE. FINAL SCREENING TO-NIGHT. “THE ROCKS OF VALPRE.” Ever popular, and gaining readers every year, Ethel M. Dell has created some of the best sellers for years. She seems to impart that “ personal interest ” which so many readers have enjoyed in her books, and now “ The Rocks of Valpre,” one of the stories which have made the name of Ethel M. Dell famous, comes to the screen, featuring John Garrick and Winifred Shotter, is an R.K.O. British production. The part of Chris gives Miss Shotter her first really dramatic role. She Kas the difficult task of portraying a woman in three stages of life —as a girl, a mature woman, and as an old woman of eighty.
