LAWN TENNIS

KIHIKIHI CLUB. There was a very good attendance of members of Kihikihi Tennis Club at the annual meeting on Tuesday evening. The annual report disclosed a highly successful season. Reference was made to the provision of a new court to accommodate the growing membership, and the satisfactory financial position was noted. Regret was expressed that the club was losing several prominent members by departure from the district. The election of officers for the new term resulted: President, Mr W. McGhie; vice-prsidents, Messrs J. A. Marquiss, A. Wilson, and S. Churchfield; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. E. Penny, re-elected; club captain, Mr R. Brown. , It was arranged to open the 193637 season on Saturday, 3rd October.
