TE AWAMUTU CLUB. Following is the draw for the first qualifying round of the championships of the Te Awamutu Golf Club, (postponed from; last Saturday owing to rain) which must be played on Saturday afternoon. Following is the draw for the monthly L.G.U. medal round, to be played in conjunction with the qualifying round of the junior championship and the second round of the eclectic competition, beginning at the tenth tee:— Mrs McDonald v. Mrs Hill, Mrs Williams v. Miss Stuart. VETERANS’ TOURNEY. The qualifying rounds for the New Zealand Veterans’ Cup were commenced on the Rotorua Golf Club’s course yesterday in bright sunshine, tut with a tricky wind. Ninety-five players of 55 years or over are engaged, the qualification for the cup being the best 32 net scores over two lounds, with the next 32 qualifying for the Arikikapakapa Cup. The best card handed in was that of F. M. B. Fisher 91—20—71. The Te Awamutu player, A. J. Shepherd, had a card reading 95—20—75. In the afternoon round-Shepherd returned a net score of 76, making his tally 151. Two tied with 149, five with 150, and six with 151.
