WEDDING BELLS

WALLIS—WALKER, A marriage of wide King Country and southern Waikato interest was celebrated, on the 2nd inst., at the Presbyterian Church, Otorohanga, the Rev. T. H. Burton being the officiating clergyman. The contracting parties were Florence May Walker, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Walker, of Hauturu (Honikiwi), and Cecil Frederick Wallis, third son of Mrs E. Wallis, and the late Mr C. Wallis, of Kaipaki, Ohaupo The bride was given in marriage by Mrs Cliff. Simmons, of Otorohanga. She was costumed in a nigger brown ensemble with furs and hat to harmonise, and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink roses and lupins. The bridesmaid was Miss Joyce Walker, sister of tihe bride.’ She was attired in Royal blue with hat and Accessories to tone, her bouquet being of pink roses. Mr James Wallis, brother of the bridegroom, aated as best man, Whilst Mrs W. Stewart (Otorohanga) played the organ music. The reception was held at the Regent Tearooms, the guests afterwards adjourning to the residence of Mr and Mrs Cliff. Simmons, Te.Kuiti Road. The bridegroom’s mother, assisted by Mrs Simmons, received the guests. Mrs Wallis Sen. was oodtumed in black and pink, with coat and accessories in harmony, and her bouquet was composed of violets. The bride’s going away costume, was a nigger brown, with hat, shoes, gloves, etc, to match. The young couple left by car for the North, and will make their future home at WhataWhata.
