’ WAIKATO MARKET REPORT The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— Beef: There has been no improvement since our last report, prices beng equal to 28/- per 1001 b for prime xx and 22/6 for good cow beef. Fat Sheep: Prices about the same'; sufficient coming forward to meet lojal demands.

Sjtore Sheep: A good enquiry exists for all classes, ewes in lamb and hoggets being much sought after. Store Cattle: The yardings at present are small, being confined mostly to store cows, yearlings and two-year-old heifers.,

Pigs: Big yardings of both fat and store pig T s are still coming forward, baconers and porkers selling at about sid, stores showing a big drop due to the milk supply going off. Horses: A fair demand for heavy draughts, also good young useful farm sorts are wanted, but little demand aged and light horses. We quote as follows: —

Bullocks, prime heavy £lO 15/- to £ll 10/-, medium £9 10/- to £10; cows prime £6 10/- to £7 5/-, medium £4 15/- to £6, unfinished £3 10/- to £3 15/-, stores £2 to £2 15/-; steers, 4year forward £6 10/- to £7 5/-, Siyear stores £6 to £6 5/-, 2|-year good £3 to £5 15/-, others £3 to £3 5/-, 18-months good £3 15/- to £4 15/-, do. medium £3 10/- to £4 15/-; wethers, prime heavy shorn 36/- to §B/-, do. medium 33/6 to 38/-; ewes, prime heavy shorn 30/- to 31/-, light 27/to 28/6, 5-year 30/-, sound mouth 27/- to 28/6; store wethers, 4-tooth shorn 33/- to 34/-, 2-tooth shorn 30/to 32/-; lambs, fat 32/- to 34/-; pigs, prime baconers £3 to £3 15/-, medium £2 15/- to £3, porkers £2 5/- to £2 12/-, slips 20/- to 25/-, weaners 87to 12/-; horses, heavy draughts £SO to £6O, medium do. £35 to £3B, spring cart sorts £22 to £3O, harness horses £8 to £lO, hacks £8 to £ll.
