SPORTS BALL On Wednesday night the first annual Athletic Sports ball was held in the public hall, and Avas a great success. About 70 couples were present, visitors coming from Morrinsville, Tatuanui, Springdale and Waihou. Messrs Bates and Hollier acted as M.’sC. The hall Avas pleasingly decorated with greenery and coloured paper. OAving to the improvements being made to the hall, the committee had to make other arrangements for the sit doAvn supper. Mr Parsons, the manager of the Y.M.C.A., kindly lent the dining rooms of the Dried Milk factory for the occasion. A committee of ladies, with Mrs W. Luxton (the president’s Avife) at the head, had charge cf the supper, and great credit is due to them for the way they carried out their duties, also to Messrs McNeil and Lynch, joint secretaries. Farrell’s orchestra Avas in attendance. THE SPORTS Weather permitting; the first Athletic Sports Avill bo held on Easter Monday in Wood’s Park, Farmer’s Road, Waitoa. By the interest Avhich is being evinced by the public they should be a huge success. PERSONAL NOTES It is with regret avc learn that Mr llanson, the tester, is leaving the Waitoa Dried Milk factory. Mr and Mrs E. Edwards are spending a holiday in Auckland.
