Mr and Mrs Wilcox and family leave to-day for a holiday at the Puru beach.

Mrs T. Maekie and family are spending the holidays at Devonport, Auckland.

Mr and Mrs A. R. Wykes are leaving Te Aroha to-day for a holiday at the Thames Coast. Mr and Mrs Montgomery and family left yesterday for a months’ holiday at Puru, Thames Coast.

Mr and Mrs L. Allen have been spending a holiday at Milford Beach. Mr Allen has returned to business.

Mr Conway, of this district, is leaving this motor tour of the Bay of Plenty' and. East Coast. Master Arthur Charles, of Ngarua, was one of the successful district candidates for the Junior National Scholarship.

His Worship the Mayor, Mr R. Coulter, is expected to arrive in Te Aroha on Thursday from his visit to the South Island.

Mr Deamer, manager of Beale’s store, and Mrs Deamer left Te Troha. yesterday on a holiday visit to Puke< kohe, Drury and Auckland. Mr R. J. Maisey, Moana, is at present spending, a holiday in Te Aroha. Mr Maisey is one of the best known farmers in the Thpies Valley.

Mr and Mrs W. J. Gibbs, who were away from Te Aroha on a fortnight’s holiday trip to the South Island, returned home last week. Accompanied by Inspector and Mrs Cox and Mr and Mrs Mueller of Auckland, Mr and Mrs Gibbs paid a few Hays’ visit to the Francis Joseph Glacier.

Her Excellency, Lady Jellicoe, accompanied by the Hon. Lucy Jellicoe, is expected to arrive at Auckland by the Maheno to-day. Lady Jellicoe left about four months ago on a holiday trip to China. Her Excellency originally intended to visit Japan, but the earthquake necessitated a change in plan.
