BIG LAND DEALS

IN CATTLE COUNTRY

An important pastoral sale was concluded on December 17th, whenthe Boorara and Kilcowers stations, in the Hungerford district, Southwest Queensland, comprising an area of 1000 square miles, along with 4000 cattle, were sold on account of Sir Henry Kilman to Mr Edmund Jowett. It is understood that Sesbania, a property comprising about 600 square miles of country, situated between Winton and Hughenden, and carrying 90,000 sheep, recently changed hands. The purchasers are a Brisbane syndicate. The price is said to run into six figures.

Another property which found purchasers in Brisbane is Kamiloari, on the Flinders, north of Cloncurry. This property carries over 20,000 head of cattle.
