TATUANUI MINSTRELS

MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT AND FARCE AT THE PARISH HALL 1 The Tatuanui Nigger Minstrels were chiefly responsible for the programme of the entertainment given in St. Mark’s Parish Hall oh Thursday night. Owing to other counterattractions the attendance of the public was not such as the cause or the programme warranted. Though the audience lacked in numbers the entertainers did not fail in quality and those attending received a good evening’s amusement. The programme submitted was as follows:

The farce “A Pair of Spectacles” was an amusing and diverting item, which was presented by Mrs Hillary and Messrs Cooper and Johnson. Mrs McCrea, of Te Aroha, gave a fine interpretation of the song “Loves Own Kiss,” and for a well merited encore “You’d Better Ask Me.” The Vicar of St. Mark’s, Rev. R. L. Connolly, offered his hearty thanks to all who had assisted.
