CHOIR COMPETITIONS

LOCAL CHOIR COMPETES AT

HAMILTON S . The fact that the Te Aroha Methodist choir has again entered for the Hamilton Methodist choir cdmpetitions has aroused quite a lot of en- * thusiasm among their friends and supporters. The last time this choir competed they were beaten by two points only, so that hopes are running high that they will this time secure the coveted honours. We i* 1 are pleased to see that two previous losses leaves them, undaunted and as enthusiastic as ever. ‘lt will be of interest to those who intend accompanying the choir to know that special arrangements have .been made to enable them to remain for the grand concert in the evening, at which the various shields and trophies will be distributed. A special train leaves Hamilton at 10 p.rou by which local people can return home. i
