OVERWHELMING DEFEAT
On Thursday the Thames Harbor loan proposal to raise £ 60,000 was defeated by a substantial majority of over 800 votes. At Te Aroha the polling was not as heavy as expected for the figures were : for the proposal 70, against 164*
