[To the Editor.] Sir,— (1.) Is John Bull playing: fair by unloading: war stocks of butter at any old price ? (2.) Has the policy of the Government in spending money freely in Auckland province been reflected by comparative tote return ia 1921 ? (3) Will ihe suggested meat piol play into the hands of Tooiey.etreet and Argentine ? (4 )Is the Manchester offer a desire to help us or themselves ? Why not N.Z Ford Stores ? (5.) Would Sir Joseph Ward, as Finance Minister, have beeu worth £1,000,000 a year to this country lately ? (6.) Why should our daily bread cost so much more than world’s parity ? (7 ) Can we sff rd to spend £750,000 on railway deviation at Palmerston North, while the Waihi- Tau'auga “ gap ” exists ? (8.) Would it not pay us to give away cur English purchase of coal and save the heavy transport charges? (9) Would the Government save £IO,OOO per year by revei ting to private ownership of the railway refreshment rooms ?
(10.) Has Samoa proved an expeu, sive *• baby ” to us ? (11) Would abolishing the cost of living bonus immediately produce industrial activity ? (12) Is it not time we hid our own exchange relations with New York aud thus escape the juggling by English bankers ? (13) When will newspaper postage ome back to a halfpenny ? (14) Whin will a penny stamp suffice for a money receipt ? (15 ) When will the sovereign come into its own ? (16.) How long is the amusement tax to last ? (17.) When will the piut pot come back again ? (18) When will the pre-war price of tobacco and matches return ? “ ONEPC.”
