Tho Theatre Royal was not, as anticipated, crammed to the doors last evening to witness tbs production of the pautomimo “ Blueboard,” but notwithstanding there was a fair attendance, aud tho entertaiumout ottered was joyfully accepted. Tho company as a whole is a good one — indeed, far superior to many travelling the country towns in the past. The pantomime went with a swing from start to liuicli, (hero being none of those tiresome dolays after each number. The principal artists quickly gut on good terms with their audience, aud sustained interest uullaggiugly. Everyone is familiar with the trials and tribulations of Bluebeard, his family, aud the Fairy Prince, and seemed to onjoy tho uu folding of the story as presouted by tho Royals. Tho local "bits’’ also created much mirth, aud there was a doubt in the minds of many present as to whether their own names would bo made the subject of a joke. The announcement at tho close that the company would present the pretty panto., ‘‘ Lillie Jack Horner, ” on Saturday evening was loudly applauded, and a full house should greet the company on that occasion.

The committee will accept practically any saleable goods for disposal. It ouly remains now for the general public to patronise the shop liberally aud a goodly amount in cash will be available for soldiers’ comforts.
