piAKO COUNTY COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING THE RAISING OF A SPECIAL LOAN OF £6OO FOR DRAINAGE WORKS IN THE SHAFTSBURY | SPECIAL RATING AREA NOTICE is hereby given that the Piako County Council, at a Special Meeting, held on MONDAY, the 19th day of March, 1917, adopted the following resolution as and for a Special Order, to be confirmed at an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held on the 16th day of April, 1917, at 11 a m at the County Office, Te Aroha. SPECIAL ORDER IN PURSUANCE and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 16 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” “the Counties Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and ot all .other Acts and powers it in that behalf enabling, and with tlip written consent of the Ratepayers in the Shaftsbnry Special Rating Area hereinafter described testified by a petition signed by not less than threefourths of the ratepayers in the said Rating Area, the unimproved value of whose properties as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the District is collectively greater than the Unimproved Value of the properties of those Ratepayers who do not so consent to the raising of the Loan: The Piako County Council resolves by way of Special Order as follows: — That for the purpose of Drainage Works in the Shaftsbury Special Rating Area the Piako County Council hereby authorises the raising of a Loan of SIX HUNDRED POUNDS from the Superintendent of the State Advances Department bearing interest and sinking fund at the rate of 4i per cent, per anuum for a period of" 36| years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and does hereby further amhoriso and declare that the first year’s interest on the Loan shall be payablo out of tho moneys so raised and also the cost of raising tho Loan. BOUNDARIES OF THE SPECIAL RATING AREA. ALL THAT area of land in the Te Aroha Riding of the County of Piako commencing at the north-west corner of Section 44, Block XII., Aroha, (at the Waihou River), aloug , tho northern boundary of said Section 1 44 to the Te Aroha-Gordon road, along such road southerly to the Wairakau Creek BriJge, thence by a right line from the said Bridge easterly to the south-west corner of 1 Section W. 53, Block 111., Wairere, thence southerly aloug road through Section 19, Block 111., Wairere, to the southern boundary of said Sccb tiou 19, easterly along the southern boundary of this section to Section 20a, Block 111, Wairere, thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections N. 17, S. 17, 13, 12, and 7 of the said Block 111., thence westerly along the southern boun daries of Sections 7 and 3 to the Te Aroha-Gordon Road, along the Te Aroha-Gordon Road northerly to the south-east corner of Section 29, Block 11., Wairere, thence westerly along ■ the southern boundary of said Sce--1 tion 29 to the Waihou, which aloug to the point of commencement. RESOLUTION In Exercise of the powers conferred on it by Part IV. of “ The Counties Act, 1908 ” the Piako County Council hereby makes by way of Special Order, a by-law under the Counties Act, 1908 ” The object and purport of tho bylaws aro as follows : To regulate the wheel traffic in the Connty of Piako. To regulate the width of tyres on vehicles To regulate tho maximum load to be carried by such vehicles' To fix the fees payable in respect of vehicles plying for hire. A fully copy of this by-law is deposited at the County Office, Rewistreet, To Aroha, and is open for inspection during office hours until Monday, the 16th day of April, 1917.
