Returning Soldiers

PRIVATE D. McCORD Included in the list of wounded men returning on the “ Tahiti,” due at the end of this month is Private D. McCord, a brother of Mrs J. Whitten of this town. Private McCord was injured on the 18th of August, whilst in the act of assisting to place a big gun, which slipped and ran down the ridge, the wheel running against his leg and breaking it at the knee.
