CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES A meeting of the committee was held on Saturday evening, there being present : The captain (Mr R. S Hanna), and Messrs F. Bliss, W. Maingay, H. G. Foster, E. H. Hawken and A. J. Burrows (secretary). The following draw took place for the championship matches : Hawken v. Kenny, Blundell v. Currie, Somers v. Maingay, Greening v. Halligan, Brodie v. Burrows, Barnard v. Simpson, Dransfield v. Bliss, Edgell v. Hanna, Waddell v. Grierson, Quane v. E. V. Arthur, Foster v. J. P. Somers, Rust v- Sole, Rollo v. Harker. LADIES COMPETITION
Miss Murray v Mrs Gooch, Miss Menzies v Miss Maingay, Miss A. Fawcett v Miss Clayton, Mrs Patt* ullo v Miss Bell, Mrs Clark v Mrs Bliss, Miss McArthur v Miss Clothier Miss F. Fitzgerald v Miss J. Wigg, Mrs Lipsey v Miss McGlashan, Mrs Meikle v Mrs Burrows, Mrs Simpson v Miss Ryan, Mrs Wigg v Miss Fitzgerald, Mrs Edged v Miss Burton, Mrs Greening v Miss Bossons, Mrs Paterson v Mrs Montgomerie. Mrs Hamilton v Miss E. M, Fawcett, Miss Forrest v Mrs McGlashan.
The conditions of the championship matches are : men 18 holes, ladies 9, and for the final game the ladies will play over 12 holes. The ladies are to commence play on Saturday from No. 7 tee. Handicaps are not considered. The first games must be completed before the 28th inst, partners to arrange their own day of play.
